Retail Assistant
Full Time
You will be working in the retail store at the Buddy Watersports location. The main purpose of this role is to sell and provide excellent customer service and information to clients who walk into the location. You will support the Retail Supervisor in ensuring the smooth operation of the retail store, making sure it is well-stocked and well-presented. This is essential if we want to provide a first-class guest/client experience and succeed in our mission to be recognized as the leading dive organization on Bonaire.
What are you going to do?
- Providing first class customer service and using consultative sales techniques provide a superior retail experience to our clients.
- Assist the Retail Supervisor with maintaining the retail store (appearance-full stocked-layout-cleanliness)
- Receiving and storing merchandise
- Selling and advising clients about diving equipment and accessories
- Selling O’Neill clothing range
- Price new product and ensure all pricing in the store is up to date both on the sales floor and the Untill POS system.
- Register dive guests, help rent dive equipment and provide accurate orientation for the island and how to dive here.
- Help keep dive tanks stocked (this involves some heavy lifting)
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with experience in selling products
- Computer literate, ideally with experience using a POS system.
- Affinity with Scuba Diving/Water sports or are willing to learn.
- Great customer skills to provide and 1st class client experience and maximize dive retail sales.
- Good attention to detail to ensure all pricing/inventory both on the shop floor and in POS system are correct.
- Able to communicate in English (other languages are an advantage)
- Have a valid driving license and able to drive a manual transmission
