My IDC at Buddy Dive with Rosie as our Course Director was an incredible experience and something I’m really grateful I got to be a part of. The course was definitely challenging at times, but Rosie helped make the entire two weeks feel organized, encouraging, and enjoyable.

She created such a positive learning environment and did a great job balancing support with pushing us to improve. She was patient, approachable, and always willing to explain things in a way that made everything feel more manageable. Her feedback helped me feel more confident, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about helping us become strong, prepared instructors.

Looking back, I really enjoyed my IDC at Buddy Dive, and Rosie was a huge part of what made it such a great experience. I’m very thankful I had the opportunity to learn from her, and I would happily recommend Buddy Dive to anyone looking to do their IDC.

I can’t recommend the IDC at Buddy Dive highly enough. Rosie was an outstanding Course Director—knowledgeable, patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in everyone’s success. I arrived without having much time to prepare for the theory beforehand, and she went above and beyond to help me get through it. Her coaching gave me the confidence to succeed and helped me quickly build a solid understanding of the material.

The entire team created an environment that was professional, challenging, and, most importantly, fun. I learned an incredible amount—not just about passing the Instructor Examination, but about becoming a safer, more confident, and more effective instructor. Thanks to the preparation and coaching I received, I passed every part of the Instructor Examination on my first attempt with no repeats. Looking back, I can honestly say the experience exceeded my expectations.

If you’re thinking about becoming a PADI Instructor, I would absolutely recommend Buddy Dive. You’ll receive excellent training, plenty of individual attention, constructive feedback, and support from people who genuinely care about helping you become the best instructor you can be. I’m incredibly grateful to Rosie and the whole team for helping me achieve this milestone.

11 days of hard work but I have never met anyone as dedicated as Lars, if you put in the effort so will he (before 8am and after a full day, he was ALWAYS willing to stay and help us in any way he could). My biggest piece of advice is do ALL of what Lars tells you to do before arrival before you arrive!

All of the staff at buddy dive resort were kind and supportive rooting for us on our journey. But the BEST part of doing my IDC at Buddy Dive was course director LARS. Lars ensures that you are prepared to be an instructor in the real world and that you learn how to keep your students safe. I feel that during the IDC I became a much better instructor but also a better diver. I found out how much I didn’t know about the basics of scuba diving and how to teach those basics to beginning divers.

Lars is a very knowledgeable and experienced instructor, he really knows what he is doing and why he is doing it that way. This makes the classes meaningful. He prepared us to be good instructors who can really teach courses; The IE was the easiest part of the course actually, because by that time we were all super ready and we passed with flying colors. I'm super happy that I chose to come to Buddy Dive to do my IDC. I would highly recommend Buddy to anyone looking to find a place to do their IDC at a professional, high quality place.

I couldn't have chosen a better place than Buddy Dive and a better Course Director than Lars to do my IDC and MSDT prep program. From the first day he was committed to the fullest to make all of us succeed in the course and the IE. I personally found Lars' teaching method very helpful for both practical and theoretical assessments. He made sure we would be ready to teach every PADI course in a safe and efficient way. I believe this training has built up my confidence and will certainly help me become a great PADI Instructor. I originally came across Buddy Dive by chance, as it was the only IDC I could find that could fit in my schedule. At first I was a little sad I couldn't go back to dive shops I have previously worked with, but even after the first day, my mind was changed. Rosie and Olivia were the best Course Director and Staff Instructor I could've asked for. Communication before IDC was amazing, and Rosie made me feel like I could ask her anything I needed to be prepared and no question was too small. Upon arrival, she went out of her way so I could do extra practice with skills so I felt more prepared. Throughout the IDC, Rosie and Olivia created the most supportive and encouraging environment, which was exactly what I needed. The course was well organized and I knew exactly what was expected of me. I also felt like the focus was on becoming good instructors (not just passing the IE), which I greatly appreciated. Throughout the whole course, both Rosie and Olivia gave very constructive and helpful feedback, but were never too harsh or made me feel stupid. While it was a lot of work, they made the course joyful and fun too. During the course itself, they also made time to help with anything you needed (whether it be equipment concerns or questions about presentations or dive theory). Finally, when we got to the IE, I felt super prepared (despite my nerves). I could not recommend IDC at Buddy Dive with Rosie and Olivia more!
