Buddy Dive Resort is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager / Assistant F&B Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurants Blennies and Ingridients. We are looking for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in an international environment and leads by example on the restaurant floor.
Assistant Restaurant Manager
In this position you will assist the Restaurant Managers in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent service standards, and supporting the development and performance of the restaurant teams. You will play an active operational role during service, help coordinate events, and contribute to maintaining outstanding guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of both restaurants, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead pre-shift briefings, coordinate staff sections, and supervise service execution
- Train, coach, and motivate team members, interns, and new hires
- Engage with guests, handle feedback and service recovery professionally
- Assist with reservations, events, purchasing processes, and administrative follow-up
- Act as the operational lead in the absence of the Restaurant managers
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in restaurant, hotel, or resort operations
- Strong food & beverage knowledge, including wine and upselling techniques
- Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Experience in international hospitality environments preferred
- Willingness to relocate to Bonaire for at least one year
- Hands-on, service-oriented, resilient under pressure, and solution-driven
- Available for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Affinity with island or resort life is an advantage
