BIG NEWS from Bonaire! Buddy Dive Resort has been recognized with an incredible 14 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards, following almost 11,000 votes from diving enthusiasts.
The awards celebrate the resorts, dive operators and experiences that stand out in the diving community, and we are thrilled to see Buddy Dive Resort, Buddy Dive and Buddy Rangers recognized across a wide range of categories.
But while the awards celebrate the quality of our resort and diving experiences, the people behind those experiences are what make them possible. Every day, our team works together to welcome guests, create memorable diving experiences and share the best of Bonaire. These 14 recognitions are therefore a wonderful reflection of their dedication, commitment and hard work.
A huge thank you to our entire team, and to everyone who voted and continues to make Buddy Dive part of their Bonaire diving adventures!

More Than Awards: A Recognition of Our Team
With almost 11,000 votes counted for the 2027 Readers’ Choice Awards, these recognitions are a wonderful reflection of the experiences valued by the diving community. For us, however, the significance goes beyond the number of awards.
Every award represents people.
People who welcome guests at the resort. People who prepare the dive boats, maintain the equipment and facilities, teach courses, guide dives and look after the safety of our guests. People who work behind the scenes to make sure everything comes together. And people who make visitors feel at home while experiencing everything Bonaire has to offer.
That is why we are particularly proud of these 14 recognitions. They are a celebration of the Buddy Dive team and the commitment they bring to work every day.
Celebrating at DEMA
The official 2027 Scuba Diving Readers’ Choice Awards will be announced in the November RCA issue, timed to coincide with DEMA. Buddy Dive will also be recognized at the Readers’ Choice Awards ceremony, where we will celebrate alongside fellow members of the global diving community. We look forward to sharing more from the celebrations and continuing to welcome divers to Bonaire. Visit Buddy Dive Resort on the Bonaire Pavillion at DEMA stand #2221.
