Buddy Dive Resort is one of the largest Dive Resorts in Bonaire – Caribbean Netherlands.
The resort has 73 apartments with 220 beds, a dive center, two resort restaurants, two swimming pools, and its own car rental company.

Assistant Line Cook
In addition to being one of the best dive resorts, our beautiful resort also offers a unique culinary experience. Both of our waterfront restaurants provide a meeting place for hotel guests, dive guests, and island residents. With a wide variety of dishes, we aim to exceed the expectations of our clients every day.

What are you going to do?
As an Assistant Line Cook, you support the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and assisting Line Cooks and Chefs in preparing and plating dishes according to recipes and standards. This role is vital in ensuring kitchen efficiency, food safety, and quality, and plays an important part in our mission to exceed the expectations of our clients.
Your key responsibilities include:
Food Preparation

Wash, chop, and prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.

Assist with basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sautéing, or frying under supervision.

Prepare sauces, garnishes, and simple side dishes.
Station Support
-
Set up and prepare mise en place before each shift.

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service.

Support Line Cooks during peak times with prep or plating assistance.
Health & Safety
-
Follow all food hygiene and safety standards, including proper storage and handling of food.

Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
Inventory & Waste Control

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.

Inform Sous Chef/Chef of low stock or spoiled items.

Minimize food waste by using ingredients efficiently.
Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with Line Cooks, Sous Chefs, and the Head Chef.

Communicate clearly about prep needs, timing, or issues during service.

Be flexible and willing to assist with various tasks as needed.
